Knowledge is power! This blended birthing class option, taught by one of our registered nurses (RN), will give you the knowledge and confidence you need to bring your baby into the world. Whether you wish to deliver naturally, need to have a scheduled cesarean section or have no birth preferences yet--- this course will prepare you, and your support person, for almost everything you may encounter!
We are excited to provide you with this alternative to families that are not able to attend a full childbirth class. You will use the "Understanding Birth" web app to learn at home prior to your in-person class. The InJoy app includes engaging videos, 3D animations, helpful web links, downloadable PDFs, and a Parent's Toolbox loaded with interactive tools. It is yours to keep and share with your support team!
Once you register, you will receive instructions on how to log in to the InJoy app and complete your assignments. Please allow at least 2 hours to complete the assignments prior to your in-person class. Then, you will attend the in-person session on the date you selected at Ascension Genesys Hospital.

*Call the number on the back of your insurance card and verify your coverage. Give them the code listed above. Your instructor is happy to sign a reimbursement form for you on request. Any amount not covered by insurance will be the registrant's responsibility.

Per Hospital Guidelines:In the event that the community experiences an increase in COVID-19 cases, classes may be changed to virtual.If your class requires payment, a refund will be given if a cancellation request is received 2 business days (48 hours) prior to the start of the class/program.Ascension reserves the right to cancel classes with less than 5 registrants. A full refund will be given for any class canceled by the site.In the event of unforeseen illness or circumstance, you will be given the option to move your registration to a virtual or e-class. An additional in-person option may be available on a case by case basis..
