Make an appointment to work with a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician. Learn how to make your child as safe as possible in motor vehicles!

The Southfield Fire Department and Safe Kids Oakland County have partnered together to provide free, educational car seat installation checks to anyone (expecting parents, grandparents, caretakers, etc.) who would like to practice installing their seat while learning valuable recommendations and safety guidelines from a Nationally Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician.

Each individualized check takes approximately 35-40 mins per seat and is done by appointment only. 

This weekly station is open to caregivers that already own a car seat. If you are in need of a car seat, please see our Rochester, Bloomfield Twp., 1st Thur. of the month Southfield, Grosse Pointe, Harper Woods, Pontiac, or Clarkston stations at: https://www.safekids.org/coalition/safe-kids-oakland-county
